The Al Bedoo Shrine Clowns were established in 1952 enabling Nobels with an interest in clowning to come together for the common goal of helping the Shrine Hospitals and making children laugh. From that beginning, the Al Bedoo Shrine Clowns have been tremendously successful at raising money for the Shrine Hospitals and also providing, for a short time, something for kids to laugh at.
The Circus and PBR have come and gone. For those who did not get to work these events, you missed a great time. They were both hard work, but in the end everyone had a blast!
There were countless members of our extended Clown Family that volunteered their time to make the Circus and PBR a success. To all those who helped, such as wives, sisters, friends, daughters, and sons the Clown Unit wishes to Thank You!!!. Your generous giving of your time did not go unnoticed. Hope to see you next year at Circus and PBR....
May is fast approaching and we already have several requests for Clowns. Mark your calendars and contact Bart Hensley, Dennis Lindsay, or Jim Nasby if you can work any of the events listed on the "Events Page".
Don't Forget, the Pacific Northwest Shrine Clown Association will hold their annual competition in conjunction with the Pacific Northwest Shrine Association Convention June 3-6, 2009, in Billings, Montana. Come join us for all the fun and excitement of a great Clown competition
Always got in trouble acting out when you were little? Like to make kids smile? Always think outside the box or maybe like playing with a box? Can your "Manhood" stand buying makeup? Then you could be Clown material! Contact any Unit Clown for more information.
Our next regular meeting is May 4th and the family "Pot Luck" meeting is May 18th. If you are interested in the Clown Unit come out one of our meetings.
